Prakriti Self-Assessment

Discover Your Ayurvedic Constitution

Your prakriti (constitution) is the unique combination of doshas you were born with. Unlike vikriti (current state), prakriti doesn't change. Answer based on your lifelong tendencies, not current symptoms.

How to Complete This Assessment

  1. For each attribute, check the box (V, P, or K) that best describes you throughout your life
  2. Consider your natural tendencies before illness, stress, or major life changes
  3. If you're between two options, mark both - many people are dual-dosha
  4. After completing all sections, count your checks in each column
  5. Your highest score indicates your primary dosha; two close scores indicate a dual-dosha type

Dual-Dosha Types

If two scores are close (within 3 points), you're likely a dual-dosha type (Vata-Pitta, Pitta-Kapha, or Vata-Kapha). This is common. Focus on balancing whichever dosha is currently elevated (vikriti) while honoring your dual nature. Tri-doshic (all three equal) is rare.
