What a Daily Alignment looks like
Here is a sample day — Friday, February 28 — showing what subscribers receive each morning.
Rohini nakshatra holds the sky today — the star of growth, beauty, and fertile ground. The waxing moon amplifies what you plant. This is not a day for rushing or forcing. It is a day for tending. Whatever you give steady attention to today will take root in ways that matter more next week than they do right now. The temptation will be to chase the shiny thing. Resist. Stay with what is already growing.
Rohini nakshatra (growth, patience) → Venus ruler (beauty, receptivity) → Heart chakra (openness, love) → Rose quartz (gentle amplification) → Shatavari (nourishing, cooling) → The Empress (fertile patience). One thread connects them all: today rewards what you tend, not what you chase.
Sit quietly. Place attention at the center of the chest. No mantra needed — just rest there. 10-15 minutes. Rohini's energy does the work when you stop trying.
Balancing pranayama for a day that favors equilibrium over intensity. 5-10 rounds before your morning practice or work session.
Gentle standing poses — Vrksasana, Virabhadrasana II held long. No vinyasa. Let the body settle into the earth.
Shatavari in warm milk with a pinch of cardamom — nourishing, cooling, and deeply supportive. If you prefer tea: rose petals with cardamom and a touch of fennel.
Sweet, warm, grounding. Oatmeal with ghee and dates for breakfast. Lunch: root vegetables roasted with cumin and coriander. Dinner: kitchari with extra ghee. Rohini days reward nourishment over austerity.
- What am I tending right now that needs my patience more than my effort?
- Where in my life am I chasing something new instead of nurturing what already exists?
- If I trusted that growth was already happening, what would I do differently today?
What a Personal Alignment looks like
The same day — Friday, February 28 — but rewritten for Priya: Vata-Pitta prakriti, Rohini birth nakshatra, sensitive digestion, prefers walking over yoga. Every recommendation adapts to who she actually is.
Rohini's fertile, patient energy is medicine for your Vata tendency to scatter. Today the sky is asking you to stay. Not to start something new — to deepen what is already underway. Your Pitta will want to optimize and push; your Vata will want to pivot. Neither serves you today. The most powerful thing you can do is tend one thing with your full attention. Rohini rewards the gardener, not the architect.
Abhyanga with warm sesame oil before shower. Then 10 minutes of the grounding body scan. This is non-negotiable for your constitution on a day like today — it sets the anchor.
5 minutes of cooling breath before lunch. Then your largest, most nourishing meal — Pitta's digestive fire is strongest now. Sweet potato bowl with tahini, greens, and cooling cucumber raita.
Supta Baddha Konasana for 5 minutes, legs up the wall for 5 minutes. Then journal. No screens for 30 minutes before sleep — Vata needs the wind-down.
Breakfast: Warm oatmeal with ghee, soaked dates, and cardamom — sweet and heavy to ground Vata. Lunch: Sweet potato bowl with tahini, steamed greens, and cucumber raita — nourishing with cooling elements for Pitta. Dinner: Simple kitchari with extra ghee and a squeeze of lime — easy to digest, calming. Avoid: raw salads (aggravate Vata), fermented foods and chili (aggravate Pitta).
- Where is my Vata pulling me to start something new instead of finishing what is in front of me?
- What would it look like to let go of optimizing today and simply be present with what is growing?
- When I feel the urge to push harder (Pitta) or move faster (Vata) — what happens if I wait one hour instead?
You have practiced grounding meditation 4 of the last 7 days. Your Vata scores have been trending down since you started morning abhyanga last week. Rohini days are especially good for your constitution — you tend to feel more settled. Keep going.
Frequently Asked
How is Daily Alignment different from the free page?
The free page gives you a snapshot — the day's headline, what to lean into, what to avoid, and the basic astro context (nakshatra, moon phase, season). It takes 30 seconds to read and orients your day.
Daily Alignment goes much deeper. You get a full reading that explains why the energy is what it is, plus specific recommendations from across traditions — which herbs to take, what to eat, how to meditate, which breathwork fits the day, and journal prompts that connect it all. It is the difference between checking the weather and planning your day around it.
What makes Personal Alignment worth 3x more?
Daily Alignment is the same for everyone. Personal Alignment is rewritten for you — your prakriti, your birth chart, your food preferences, your exercise capacity, your growth areas. A Kapha-dominant person and a Vata-dominant person should not eat the same foods, practice the same breathwork, or focus on the same growth areas. Personal Alignment means you never have to translate generic advice into what works for your body.
It also adapts. When you tell us a recommendation worked or did not, future alignments adjust. It tracks your progress over time — which practices you have been consistent with, how your patterns are shifting, and what to focus on next. The longer you use it, the more precisely it fits.
What is a prakriti / constitution?
In Ayurveda, your prakriti is your innate constitutional type — the unique ratio of Vata (air/space), Pitta (fire/water), and Kapha (earth/water) that you were born with. It determines your physical tendencies, emotional patterns, what foods nourish you, what environments suit you, and where you are most likely to go out of balance.
When you sign up for Personal Alignment, we determine your prakriti through a detailed assessment. Everything is then filtered through that lens.
When do alignments arrive?
Daily Alignment and Personal Alignment are delivered to your inbox by 6am Eastern each morning. You can also access them anytime on the site. The free snapshot is always available at /today.
Can I switch plans?
Yes. You can upgrade from Daily to Personal or downgrade from Personal to Daily at any time. Changes take effect at your next billing cycle. You can also cancel either plan at any time — no contracts, no commitments.
Do I need to know about Ayurveda or Jyotish?
Not at all. The alignments are written in plain language. You will learn these traditions naturally by living them day by day — that is the whole point. You do not need to study anything first. Just read your alignment each morning and follow what resonates.
